The newly elected chairman of the people democratic Party, Iyorchia Ayu, has started facing some crisis just a few months after he emerged at the national convention.
News reports yesterday had it that he and the governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike are having issues concerning the leadership of the party.
According to sources, the governor is already losing confidence in the national chairman of the party because of his visit to ex president Olusegun Obasanjo with some party leaders who wanted to woo the ex president back to the party but failed.
Meanwhile, Primate Ayodele had warned a few days ago in a prophetic statement that the national chairman of PDP will have crisis in the party and that power will be hijacked from him if care isn’t taken.
Is this not the beginning of the crisis Primate Ayodele warned about?
In this same prophetic statement, Primate Ayodele warned the Governor of rivers State, Nyesom Wike against some of his moves because it will lead to crisis in the party. He went on to say If the party leaders don’t address Wike’s case, the party may break before 2023.
Confirming this statement, Sources informed the Sunday Tribune that some stakeholders have, however, advised the governor to tread with caution, warning that his action, which was to protect his own enlightened self-interest, could cause a fresh crisis in the party.
