2023: Group Demands Inclusion of Obafemi-Owode Sons & Daughters From Assembly Representation

UNPRECEDENTED EXCLUSION OF OBAFEMI OWODE TRUE SONS AND DAUGHTERS FROM LEGISLATIVE POSITION IN OGUN STATE HOUSE OF ASSEMBLY

A critical look by an objective political watcher at candidates who have contested in the past and current aspirants jostling to represent Obafemi Owode Local Government in Ogun State House of Assembly shows, that majority, if not all, are not true sons and daughters of our dear local government. The facts are there for anybody to check.

It is astonishing to note, that in the build-up to 2023 elections, many of who are not actually true sons and daughters of Obafemi Owode are already in the race to capture the position of "Honorable members representing Obafemi Owodelocal government area in Ogun State House of Assembly."

Worrisome is the fact that these people obviously, receive  the blessings and support from some of our unscruptous leaders at the detriment of our well-qualified, vibrant and energetic true sons and daughters, who are also in the race. To us, concerned indigenes, such actions amount to betrayal, unpatriotic act and political robbery. One wonders why this ugly trend is deeply rooted in OOLG but remains a taboo in other local government of Ogun State.

However, the unpleasant implication of this unholy alliance is: The massive export of resources meant for our development and progress to destinations such as Ekiti and beyond.
With tears and broken heart, we appeal to our leaders who are caught in this web of unholy alliance to repent and withdraw their support of this ugly trend, that has impoverished our people by denying us the expected development and progress.

Therefore, as a group with burning desire to see this ugly trend reverse, we call on our eminent leaders in OOLG such as:-
Chief Olusegun Osoba (former Governor of  Ogun State)
RT. Hon. Tunji Egbetokun ( The Senior Special Adviser on Political Affairs to the Governor of Ogun State)
Engineer Hakeem Adesina ( Special Adviser on Works and Infrastructure to Governor of Ogun State)
Amb. Sina Ogunsola  (Executive Chairman, OOLG)
to use their good offices and all available means at their disposal to put an end to this frustrating political suicide, that has almost destroyed the social-political and economical fabrics of our dear local Government.
Long live Obafemi Owode Local Government
