Shomide Visits Abeokuta South, Charges Majekodunmi On People's Oriented Governance



The immediate past chairman of Abeokuta South local government, Hon Ayodeji Michael Shomide has visited the council today Monday 6th of September on a courtesy visit to the Executive Chairman Hon Omolaja Majekodunmi and his executives.

During the visitation, Hon Ayodeji was accompanied by Alhaji Nurudeen Ayorinde, the immediate past Secretary to the local government in Abeokuta South and Hon Samod Olarewaju the immediate past Vice Chairman and  some of the chairmanship aspirants namely Hon Toyosi Enilolobo, Hon Taiwo Kelani, Hon Mustapha Kodaolu Olajide MKO, among others.












Majekodunmi, while addressing the newsmen appreciated Hon Ayodeji Michael Shomide for the courtesy visit, while he used the opportunity to clear air on the allegations of stopping the contractors on the construction sites of the council immediately he emerged as the chairman. 

He commended Hon Ayodeji Shomide led administration for handing over the council officially to him in good state as he promised to perform beyond expectation following the footsteps he met on ground by his predecessor. 
On Hon Ayodeji Shomide side, the visit was to initiate continuity support  for the new administration. We were able to discuss long time prospects that was identified by our administration, which we were unable to implement, while we also discuss challenges faced by our administration. The essence of our visit is to support the new administration to move our local government further from where we stop.
