To kick start the road rehabilitation, the Chairman said many of the local government roads that falls within the purview of the council will be made motorable so as to ease transportation of goods and farm produce.
Speaking during the grading of Siun Owode Egba road, Ambassador Ogunsola Adesina said though grading of roads will fully commence towards mid October, but Owode Egba,- Siun road which has been an eyesore need urgent intervention.
He vowed to prioritised all rural roads in the local government area adding that as government, the welfare of the people remains uppermost.
"As government we will continue to perform our roles, while it is expected that our people also perform their civic role by paying their taxes and levies promptly.
"The Siun Owode road that we are rehabilitating today will ease the challenges been faced by commuters including civil servants and farmers on this road which has become an eyesore.
"The Prince Dapo Abiodun led administration in the State has continued to take road rehabilitation and construction as part of its social responsibility, and at this level of government ,we can not afford to fail our people.
He then pleaded for understanding of the people while assuring that the ongoing road rehabilitation will be taking with all seriousness it deserves.
