Toyin Abraham, a Nollywood actress, has reflected on her early days in the Yoruba industry as she writes a heartfelt message to honor her senior colleague, Opeyemi Aiyeola, who turns 44 today, August 29th.
Toyin Abraham wrote on her Instagram page that Opeyemi Aiyeola was like her "small mother" as she was growing up in the Yoruba film industry.
Opeyemi Aiyeola, according to Toyin Abraham, was always there for her and kept an eye on her. She went on to say that she may have been childish at one point, but she is still the girl Opeyemi has always loved.
Toyin wished Opeyemi Aiyeola a happy birthday and prayed for her as she reached a new milestone.
She wrote:
"Happy Birthday, Sis mi Ope @opeyemi_aiyeola1 . I remember growing up in the Yoruba movie industry – you were like my small mummy, always there and looking out for me.
But Sis mi Ope, today is not for the epistle, it’s to celebrate you and join you in thanking God for another year. I just want to wish you long life in abundance and sound health.
I love you so much and genuinely, Aunty Ope. Yes, I might be a little bit childish some time ago, but you know I’m always that girl you’ve always loved. A happy birthday once again,Igba ọdún, ọdún kan ni!"
