Olu Imasayi Stool: Imasayi Elite Club dissociates self from fake news on social media

The President of Imasayi Elite Club, Lagos State chapter has debunked reports on social media about candidates jostling for Olu of Imasayi stool in Yewa North Local Government areas of Ogun State.

Mr Wale Adesegun Ayelotan , the President of Imasayi Elite Club, made this known on Tuesday while speaking  newsmen on the true picture concerning the vacant stool of Olu of Imasayi.

Ayelotan condemned the speculation peddled around on a social media by some disgruntle and enemy of progress in Imasayi.

He explained that there were some selfish leaders who were not concerned  about the development of the land, saying writing a petition against selection process that were openly supervised by the government officials was baseless. 

He said : It is only three candidates that were jostling to fill the vacant stool of Olu of Imasayi after the demised of late monarch Oba Gbadebo Olusola Omi who joined his ancestors last year, and the candidate  are Prince Rahman Adetomiwa Oniyide Ajayi, Aare Kuoye Lukmon  and Prince Adewale Olude in which  Aare Lukmon Kuoye emerged as Oba elect.

He added that the news of the  approval of new Olu of Imasayi had  spread across to the town and neighboring communities in Yewa North Local Government since August 19,  2021.

" Indigenes and residences of Imasayi trooped out to the streets rejoicing that the best candidates emerged.

"The people of the kingdom were unanimous in their beliefs that the reigns of the new Oba elect who has experienced in all areas of life, public and private service would developed the town within a few years.

"Prince Lukmon Kuoye from Oyesiku ruling family of Imashai, emerged victoriously during the selection process which was conducted by the traditional chiefs of the town under the strict supervision of official of Imasayi council of Chiefs, Yewa North Local Government, Yewa Traditional council of Obas and Ogun State ministry of Local Government and chieftaincy affairs
