The All Progressives Congress APC chairmanship candidate in Abeokuta South local government, Hon Omolaja Majekodunmi has congratulated the Alake of Egbaland, Oba Dr Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo Okukenu IV and Akarigbo of Remoland, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi on their recent appointments into board of Federal institutions.
HRM Oba Aremu Gbadebo, Alake of Egbaland was appointed as Chancellor of Alex Ekwueme University, Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State while His Royal Majesty, Oba Babatunde Ajayi, Akarigbo of Remo Kingdom was named the Chancellor of Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun, Delta State as Federal Government announced councils for 42 universities, approved by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, announced this at a news conference on Thursday in Abuja, saying this was part of efforts to strengthen the institutions for effective service delivery for national development and global competitiveness.
Majekodunmi who is the Asiwaju Akinrogun of Egbaland described his immediate boss, His Royal Majesty Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, Akarigbo of Remoland as a man with large heart and accommodating spirits, he also thanked His Excellency President Mohammadu Buhari GCFR for deeming it necessary to allow Alake of Egbaland, His Royal Majesty Oba Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo to exhibit his wealth of experience in Alex Ekweme University, Ebonyi state.
