The Chief Whip and Member representing Odogbolu State Constituency at the Ogun State House of Assembly, Asiwaju Atinuke Bello, has felicitated with Muslim Faithfuls across the Nation on the occasion of the 2021 Eid-Al-Adha Festival
The Asiwaju Onigbagbo Obirin of Odogbolu Local Government said this in her Eid-Al-Adha Message to the Muslim faithfuls.
She noted that Nigeria would make quicker progress towards the fulfilment of its great potentials as a nation if its citizens foster peace, security and stability which are essential for development.
He also congratulated them for their resilience and steadfastness even in the face of the current realities, one of which is the recent outbreak of the Covid-19 Pandemic which made it impossible for many Muslim faithfuls to perform their rites of the Hajj in the Holy Land.
The lawmaker, popularly called Teekay, also enjoined them all not to relent in prayers for the nation at large.
She said, "I urge our Islamic brethren to offer special prayers for peace, harmony, unity, security and progress in our fatherland."
"I also urge you, as always, to find time in the midst of the Eid-Al-Adha celebration to meditate on the immense benefits our nation can derive from a greater exhibition by its people of piety, honesty, selflessness, tolerance, peaceful co-existence with others, equity, fairness and justice for all, which are integral parts of the message of the Holy Prophet."
