I read not quite long a rumour going round that some people from Ogun East and Central are preparing to contest as the governor of Ogun state in 2023 election.
As good as that sounds because everyone is entitle to his opinion and believe, but truth be told. Everyone knows that it is the turn of Yewa to produce the next governor of the state after Gov DA’s tenure expires in 2027.
According to Dapo Fashola, President Yewa Youth Pacesetters (YYP), But without mincing words, the Ogun State government house remained occupied till 2027 as the seating Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun is actually performing excellently and he deserves to be given time to solidify the inclusive government of lifting Ogun State to a greater height.
DA is a listening governor. He has proved this times without numbers. This is evident in the case of the absorption of ASCON employed in the twilight of the last administration. Also the reversal of Covid test payment for all student during the last school Resumption. Decision to continue the project of the last administration knowing fully well that payers tax will go to a waste if those projects are abandoned.
The civil servants, youth, market women, students and artisans are enjoying the government of Prince Dapo Abiodun and an adage says ," You don't change a winning team. This is the reason why we the Youth of Yewa decided to endorse PDA for second term.
If anyone should consider contesting, it should be from Ogun West and not Ijebu’s nor Egbas.
Hence we Yewa Youth Pacesetters (YYP)advice anyone from Ogun East or central who thinks he wants to rule Ogun State to wait till after 2035.
