It was a pleasure to be part of the Opening Ceremony of the 10th Gateway International Trade Fair, along with the Chief Host and Honourable Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Investment, Mrs Kikelomo Longe at an event held at the Trade Fair Complex, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta on Tuesday 6th April, 2021
The Trade Fair tagged, "Transforming Agriculture and Commerce in a Highly Competitive Global Market", attracted national and International participants to showcase variety of products and services.
The Executive Governor of Ogun State, His Excellency, Prince Dapo Abiodun was present to declare open the Ceremony. In His Address, His Excellency noted that the trade fair was a platform for manufacturers, businessmen and women, managers of corporate organizations to cross-fertilize ideas; explore new business innovations, make credible business contacts and a viable forum for adding value to home-grown Agricultural and Industrial products.
He further stated that, the 2021 Trade fair theme could not have been more appropriate as It is coming at a time of Economic diversification frome the oil sector to other sectors such as Agriculture, Trade and Manufacturing.
Other dignitaries present at the occasion include, the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Her Excellency, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele, Secretary to the State Government, Mr Tokunbo Talabi and other State Executive Council Members, Alake of Egba land, represented by Chief Lai Labode; Iyalode of Yorubaland and the former National President of The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA),Chief Mrs Alaba Lawson; the President, Ogun Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (OGUNCIMMA), Alhaji Wasiu Babatunde Olaniran; Chairman, Odua Chambers of Commerce, Prince Kayode Adeyemi; Members of OGUNCIMMA and NACCIMA, Permanent Secretaries, Ogun State Agric Team led by the Permanent Secretary, Dr Dotun Sorunke; Senior Special Assistants to Ogun State Governor on Agriculture, Traditional rulers, Civil servants, Small and Medium Entrepreneurs, Industrialists, Farmers among others.
