NANS Applaud Gov Abiodun, CP Edward Ajogun Over Rescue Of Kidnapped OOU Students Unhurt


The National Association of Nigerian Students NANS, Ogun Joint Campus Committee has sent words off appreciation to Gov Prince Dapo Abiodun over rescuing the two students of Olabisi Onabanjo University, Adeyemo Precious and Oyefule Abiola unhurt in the late hour of Tuesday 16th of March 2021.

It could be recalled that shortly after the report of kidnapping of the two female students of Olabisi Onabanjo University, National Association of Nigerian Students, Ogun Axis under the leadership of Comrade Kehinde Damilola Simeon, Chairman swung into action at once by calling on the state government to rescue the students immediately with a four days ultimatum to secure Adeyemo Precious and Oyefule Abiola in a press conference held today, March 16, 2021 Amebo Newspaper NG learnt.



The Chairman, Kehinde Damilola Simeon after the press conference, alongside the Vice Chairman, Comrade Ekundina Elvis and other Students' Union leaders moved to the Divisional Headquarters of Police, Ayetoro where they met with the DPO alongside representatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp, The Nigerian Army and the Department of State Security Service for security meetings.

Also, the NANS entourage visited the crime scene at Olowu area of Ayetoro for on-the-spot assessment. This assessment led to interaction with friends, course mates and neighbours of the victims.
The team then head to the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters, Eleweran to meet with the Commissioner of Police, CP Edward Ajogun and the PPRO, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi.



The CP Commended the Comrade Damilola Simeon Kehinde led administration while expressing confidence that Adeyemo Precious and Oyefule Abiola will be released soon and the culprits brought to book.

The team also visited Sweet FM where Comrade Damilola Simeon Kehinde went live on air to further implore the Federal Government, State Government, Nigeria Police Force and other Security Agencies to be more proactive and deliver our students speedily.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Nigeria Police Force, Ogun State Command, DSP Abimbola Oyeyemi confirmed the release of the two students unhurt by their abductors after police intervention.

"We're glad to announce that the efforts of The National Association of Nigerian Students and all Security agencies in Ogun state have borne fruit as both students have been rescued." Said Kehinde Simeon
We specially appreciate the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun and the Ogun Commissioner of Police, CP Edward Ajogun for their versatility and proactiveness. We also express our gratitude to Joint Security and Intervention Squad for their hardwork, We pray that the Lord of Aluta will keep strengthening them and keep all Nigerian Students safe and secured.
