Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crime Commission, EFCC ealy this morning raided some popular hotels in the university community of Ago-Iwoye, where an undisclosed number of people alleged to be internet fraudsters were reportedly arrested.
Our correspondent gathered that some of the hotels raided in the early hour operation include My Choice Hotel and The Pavilion, located on Awolowo road and Itamerin area of the town respectively.
The information available to Topnaija has it that unknown to people around the area, the operatives have for few days laid siege on the town where they mounted intensive surveillance and intelligence gathering about the activities of the suspected yahoo boys.
Another reliable source confided in this newsmagazine that the anti-graft agency stormed the hotels in a pick-up truck and Toyota Hiace bus.
