.....Urges Nigerians to observe COVID-19 protocol during the festive season.

Giwa Egbe Obayori Okunrin Akile Ijebu (Kuye), Giwa Alhaji Suraju Adebayo Lasisi has felicitates with Nigerians particularly the Christian faithful and most importantly the members of Egbe Obayori Okunrin Akile Ijebu (Kuye) on the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ.
In a press statement release by the Publicity Secretary of the group on thursday night, Comrade Akeem Temitope Akilo, Giwa said, Christmas is a yearly festival celebrated to mark the birthday of Jesus Christ. It encourages feelings of oneness and harmony. Christmas is a season not only of rejoicing but of reflection. A celebration that we are thankful to be alive after what we have experienced. A celebration that we have stayed strong and resilient, despite what we have faced in year 2020.
Giwa explained that this year 2020 that is about winding up is not only worrisome but depressing because of surge of COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic has changed the way we work, the way we live and the way we do things generally. Change has become our new normal. Giwa advised Nigerians and particularly members of Egbe Obayori to adhere strictly to the new restrictions as imposed by the Federal Government amid the rising cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) in various parts of the country and not to get carried away by the Christmas and New Year festivities.
Giwa therefore wish all members of Egbe a blessed Christmas and Happy New Year In Advance. May this Christmas bring everyone comfort, joy, peace and happiness to last throughout the coming years!
