A former member of Ogun state House of Assembly representing Ogun Waterside state constituency, Hon. Adeyemi Harrison yesterday paid hospital bills of indigent patients at Ibiade general hospital and some other hospitals in Ogun Waterside Local Government.
Harrison said that the philanthropist gesture was his own way of celebrating the year 2020 Christmas.
He made it known to well meaning Watersiders and others alike that the wealth acquired on earth does not mean anything to human lives as we shall depart this world leaving them behind.
He stated that the main reason why we are here on earth is to be there for others to make the world a safe place rather than ignore our fellow brothers in need.
One of the patients, Mrs Ogundele Abiodun, was full of praise when told that her bills had been paid. She said it was only God who could have done it to a poor mother like her.
Another patient, Mrs Oluwatoyin Okunlalu, lauded Hon. Harrison for the gesture.
Hon. Harrison urged other well-to-do Watersiders to visit hospitals and assist indigent patients.
Some of the hospital visited are : Ibiade General Hospital, Iwopin comprehensive health center, Oni health center, Abigi and Efire health centers.
