FLAG OFF OF SAWAH ECO-TECHNOLOGY RICE TRANSPLANTING IN IGBOGILA, YEWA NORTH LOCAL GOVERNMENT AREA OF OGUN STATE
According to Dr Samson Adeola Odedina, Honorable Commisionner For Agriculture,
"I led the Ogun Agric team on a scheduled visit to Sanwojo Settlement, Igbogila, Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State, today, 17th November, 2020, to flag off Rice transplanting using the Japanese Swamp Rice Technology.
This Project- EXPANSION STRATEGY OF SAWAH ECO-TECHNOLOGY RICE FARMING (ESTRASERIF)- is facilitated by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development Abuja through the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanization (NCAM). The pilot demonstration is currently running at Igbogila, Yewa North Local Government Area of Ogun State, and is to be replicated across the 20 Local Government Areas of the State.
Others in attendance were the Permanent Secretary, Ogun State Ministry of Agriculture; Representative of the National Centre for Agricultural Mechanization (NCAM), Engr. Ademiluyi Segun; Ogun State Coordinator for SAWAH, Mr Temitope Dada-Joel; Representatives of Rice Farmers, among others.
