Covid-19: Isolation Workers Decry Non Payment Of Salaries In Ogun


The workers allocated to Isolation centre in Ikenne, Ogun state under the ministry of health  has kicked against non payment of 4-weeks salary and stipends from Monday 25th of May till 17th of June, 2020 by the state government.

According to report reaching Amebo Newspaper, the health workers has successfully treated over 300 Coronavirus patients in Ikenne before it was shut down by the state government.

When contacted the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Health, Dr Ayinde, he assured the workers of payment of the salaries anytime soon as the ministry is making all efforts to contact the governor of Ogun State, Prince Dr Dapo Abiodun over the payment.

Also, Dr Aigoro appealed to the health workers to be patient that the salaries will be paid anytime soon as the state government will never owe anyone of them after their unrelenting efforts in the ministry of health during the Coronavirus pandemic.
