It was gathered on Thursday night that a customs officer and another resident of Saki lost their lives during the clash.

Our correspondent gathered that the clash started when Customs officers allegedly chased a Saki indigene alleged to be a smuggler into the town.

The alleged smuggler was said to have died in the process.

The death of the alleged smuggler made some individuals in the town to attack the Customs office.

During the attack, a vehicle belonging to the Customs service was burnt.

Public Relations Officer of the Oyo/Osun command of NCS, Mr. Abdullah Lagos confirmed the incident.

“We heard about the incident but we are yet to confirm what really happened. But all our officers are safe.
