Ogun State has been selected for the pilot phase of the 2020 Federal Government Poultry Census. This position was made known when we received officials of Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS) at the Ministry of Agriculture, Oke-Mosan, on Friday, 24th July, 2020.
Led by the NAQS Director of Animal Quarantine Department, Dr Akinjo Abiodun, it was revealed that Ogun State was selected for the pilot phase due to its position as the largest hub of Egg Production Enterprises in Nigeria.
Also present at the meeting were Dr Aisha Momodu of Nigeria Agricultural Quarantine Service (NAQS), Permanent Secretary, Ogun State Ministry of Agriculture, Director of Veterinary Services, and Programme Manager, Ogun State Agricultural Development Programme (OGADEP)
