Ikenne - Residents of Ogun state has been in state of confusion as the major isolation centres including that of hometown of the vice president, Prof Yemi Osinbajo in Ikenne, Ogun state was said to have been shut down by the ministry of health.
The centre upon commissioning has been useful in combating over 200 Covid-19 positive patients cases which contibuted to the success of the ministry in managing and discharging of corona virus patients so far in the state with lesser report of death.
This is however a worrisome development at this point when the number of new cases is seen to be on the increase in the state .
Meanwhile, our investigation revealed that the driver attached to Dr Tomi Coker, Commissioner of health was tested positive to corona virus but the news was swept under the carpet to avoid public reactions, while the commisoner herself has been away from office recently, suspecting to be on self isolation for 14-days.
When Amebo Newspaper correspondent visited the isolation centre upon the online report, we met only two private security officers at the main gate telling us that the main building has been shut down and we should reverse our vehicle.
When our correspondent contacted Mr Femi Onasanya, the press officer of Ministry of health he said he has no information relating to that, and he has to get information from the commissioner before he can utter any statement.
