PDP Crises Deepens As Engr Bayo Dayo Drags Buruji Kashamu To Court Over N100M

..... We paid N20M Into Omo Ilu Foundation's account shortly after receiving our 15 percent of sales of nomination forms in the last election. 

 

Abeokuta - The Chairman of People's Democratic Party PDP in Ogun state, Engr Bayo Dayo has dragged Senator Prince Buruji Kashamu to court over accusation of receiving the sum of N100M from Honorable Oladipupo Adebutu I'm exchange of party structure.

According to Amebo correspondent, Engr Bayo Dayo's tenure is supposed to expire in April 2020 to make it 8 years in office but due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the National Executive Committee NEC of People's Democratic Party PDP has extended it till another congress to come to place in the state. 

While questioning him on the allegation of receiving funds from Honorable Ladi Adebutu,  he said "Whoever said I collected N100 million from Honorable Oladipupo Adebutu did not know me, I will never deviate because of money, during the primary that produced former governor of Ogun State, Otunba Olugbenga Festus Daniel, I insisted of voting Dr Doyen Okupe despite that he never had money to give the delegate." he said. 

"My plans in People's Democratic Party PDP in ogun state is to foster unity between the two faction as my achievement in office which will make me happy anytime my name is mentioned in Ogun state.

Prince BURUJI Kashamu is a very benevolent man who has been generous to People's Democratic Party despite that he is an ordinary member, but he is not a good politician, because a good politician will always think of his followers, we lost two election two election year because of division... Making unity within the party is what I want to achieve, I told Ladi Adebutu that he will spend, but I have not collected any money from him, I told him the two groups will share the principal position, I am from BURUJI group but still want unity in ogun state towards the betterment of the party in the next election." Engr Bayo Dayo added. 

Also, he accused Prince Buruji Kashamu accused him of collecting money from the other group with no evidences...., "In the last election we realised N430million from selling of nomination forms and we sent it to the National secretariat and they send 32million Naira to ogun state PDP as the 15 percent of the money realised but Prince Buruji Kashamu demanded for part of the money because he had been spending for the party in the time past which we paid the sum of N20million into Omo Ilu foundation, what did we bought from Omo Ilu foundation?. ... Engr Bayo Dayo 

"I have approached court to sue Prince Buruji Kashamu of 500m for defamation of character, he should come with evidence of payment of the acclaimed amount, I bought my first house in 1974 in Bristol, a semi-detached house in a conservative area in England, where was Buruji Kashamu then?...

He maintained his stand on fostering unity between the two groups to enable People's Democratic Party  PDP win in the forthcoming election in 2023 in Ogun state. 

Furthermore he said he will still collect money from Honorable Oladipupo Adebutu because he had been informed of his philanthropic gesture but he is determined towards unifying members of the party.
