Okoya At 80: Chief Ebenezer Obey Showers Blessing On King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal As He Becomes The Maiyegun Of Yorubaland

A-list celebrities are in the house as well as music legends and renowned theatre practitioners. Event the hip artists were not left out. It was, however, an emotional moment when King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal stormed the stage to pay homage to the Juju legend, Chief Commander Ebenezer Obey, while he was performing.

The chief commander held k1’s hand for quite some time and began to pray for him.

K1 prostrated before Ebenezer and what he did next was what no one expected. He brought out a bundle of 1000 naira notes, while he was still on his knees before Chief Commander and began to place the notes at his feet. K1 didn’t stop until he disbursed the last note on the feet of Ebenezer Obey. 

K1, it would be recalled, has been bestowed upon the new chieftaincy tittle of Mayegun of Yorubaland by the Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi 111. Come Monday 13 January, 2020, is the official coronation day in Oyo.
