Lagos State Council Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport (NURTW,) Musiliu Akinsanya alias MC Oluomo has sacked one of rivals in the union from office.
Abdulazeez Adekunle Lawal, popularly known as Kunle Poly has been sacked as the Chairman of the Lagos Island branch of the union.
Kunle Poly belongs to the faction loyal to the immediate Chairman of the union in the state, Tajudeen Agbede.
Kunle Poly was sacked following the series of clashes t between his followers and those loyal to MC Oluomo in Lagos Island.
The fight, which started shortly after MC was appointed Chairman of the council has claimed some lives and sent shivers down the spines of residents and business owners in Lagos Island.
The clash is over who controls the union in the area.
Some loyalists of Oluomo have at different times tried to hijack control of the motor parks from Kunle Poly, a move that was allegedly opposed by members loyal to him.
Some members of union have already been arrested in connection with the clashes.
Recall that Kunle Poly was linked to the stabbing of MC Oluomo during the mega rally of the All Progressives Congress in Lagos last year.
