....TOLLGATE FIRE DISASTER IS VERY SAD AND UNFORTUNATE - HON.JIMOH OJUGBELE
The legislative member representing Ado-Odo federal constituency at the house of representatives, Honorable Jimoh Olushola Ojugbele has sympathized with the affected victims of the Friday fire disaster in Sango area of Ogun State.
While commiserating with the victims of Thursday night Fire disaster on Tollgate,Lagos Abeokuta Express Road,the lawmaker representing Ado Odo/Ota Federal Constituency in the green chamber, Hon Jimoh Olushola Ojugbele has described the incident,which led to loss of lives and properties, as very sad and unfortunate.
In a Press Statement made available to Amebo Online Newspaper, he said ,as a nation certain things are avoidable and must be prevented from happening. This type of irreparable tragic occurrence is avoidable if our road infrastructure network is well articulated.
We must rise up,as a nation, to address critical areas of our national life.
For the umpteenth time,motion will as a matter of urgency, be moved on floor of the Green Chamber next week for Federal Government to quickly intervene on the dare need to fix our highways across the country especially the Lagos -Ota-Abeokuta and other Federal roads within the constituency.
Ado Odo/Ota is very strategic in the sense that, both State and Federal Government derived chunk of their Internally Generated Revenue from the Federal Constituency.
It therefore behoves on us as a government to give back and reciprocate to the community what is generated there in form of taxes and rates to develop to the fullest, the Federal constituency in areas of infrastructures and basic amenities.
