Combatant and alutarian salutations to all ever indefatigable, ever rugged, ever dogged, ever pragmatic stakeholders, leaders, cadres, senators, comrades, all unassailable students across south western states and Nigeria at large.
As it is universally known that leaders are not born but made!
From my past records, I have been saddled with the responsibilities of serving the students community at various levels of leadership with unblemished integrity. It is not a gainsaying that I have served well and inscribed my footprints indelibly in numerous capacity and portfolio.
Therefore, I Comrade Oladimeji Uthman “Dan Fodio” humbly reiterates my commitment to further represent the students populace in south west geo-political zone more prudently and judiciously as the Zone D Deputy Coordinator, In sha Allah.
According to Harvey Firestone, he said and I quote, the growth and development of people is the highest calling of leadership.
The vision is to create and maintain the maximum utilization of the creativity of students for a dynamic, purposeful, socio economic and political advancement of the students community.
According to Abraham Lincoln, I opine that no one serves as a leader without the people’s consent.
As such, i seek, solicit and advocate for the mandate of the ever competent Students’ Union leaders across the South Western states as to assume this office lies on your ability to franchise.
In the same vein, I would like to bring to our attention and notice that there are some institutions in southwestern states whose leadership seat have been and still remain vacant without substantial Students Union representation such as UI, OAU, UNILAG and others. Conversely, in such institutions, due and adequate representation of students is truncated.
I therefore urge all stakeholders of our dear association saddled with such responsibility to put their hands on desk to take prompt action in reinstating the various Students’ Union Government of the aforementioned institutions.
Lastly, leadership is not about glorious crowning acts. It's about keeping your team focused on a goal and motivated to do their best to achieve it, especially when the stakes are high and the consequences really matter. It is about laying the groundwork for others’ success, and then standing back and letting them shine.
I am determined to serve you all and together we take the Students Community across South Western states to a greater height.
The time to start building our future together is NOW!!!
