OCF Inaugurates Osun Chapter, Tasks Executives On Transparency, Accountability

The National leadership of Oodua Consultative Forum(OCF) has inaugurated the Osun State Chapter of the Forum.

The National leadership that did the inauguration, held at Osogbo City Hall, Olonkoro, Osogbo, on the 19th of October, 2019 was led by the founder and President-General, Prince Bisi Oyemade and the co-founder who also doubles as National Treasurer, Basorun Adegboyega Somoye(nicknamed Agbara Oodua).

Meanwhile, another feather was added to the cap of Alhaja Moniade Nifaji as she was appointed as the National Women Leader of OCF worldwide.

Her decoration was done by Iyalode of Osogbo who is also the Iyaloja General of Osun State, Alhaja Awawu Asindemade.

The presentation of certificate of registration and constitution of OCF was done at the event.

The State(Osun) Chapter executives were also sworn in.

Comrade Segun Adeosun emerged as the Chairman, while Comrade Isaiah Fayemi was made the Secretary.

Dignitaries at the event include the Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun, represented by Baba Kekere of Osogbo, the Olokuku of Okuku, Oloyan of Oyan, Onijabe of Ijabe and Olokua of Okua.

Others include, Alhaji Ibikunle Lawal, Prof. Olu Aina, Elder Segun Akinwumi and Alhaja Aolat Adefunke among others.

Speaking at the event, the Royal fathers and dignitaries enjoined the leaders and members of OCF not to derail from its vision of uniting the Yorubas and making sure that the entitlements of the race do not elude it.

Side attractions at the event include gyration and cultural display by Kegites.

However, the leadership of OCF had earlier on Friday paid a courtesy visit to the Ataoja of Osogbo and Pa Ayo Fasanmi(Afenifere leader).

At the Ataoja's palace, OCF leaders were warmly received by the Kabiyesi, Oba Jimoh Olanipekun, Larooye II and his chiefs.

While speaking during the visit, Kabiyesi appreciated the visit and admonished leaders and members of OCF towards the oneness of Yoruba race.

He urged them to never allow politics or religious sentiment to creep into the Forum.

He thus, prayed for the progress of the Forum.

Similarly, it was a warm welcome for OCF leaders and members at the residence of 94-year-old Pa Ayo Fasanmi.

Pa Fasanmi noted that he is always happy and ever ready to be associated with anything that has to do with the Yoruba race.

He called for unity among the race, adding that he will be happier seeing the Forum achieving good things for the race.
