Fire engulfs part of Lagos Island as NNPC, Dangote trucks loaded with fuel collide

There is an inferno in Victoria Island part of Lagos ongoing.

News Express correspondent reports that the fire outbreak erupted when a tanker belonging to the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) had a headlong collision with another tanker belonging to the Dangote Group.

Both trucks were loaded with petrol.

The incident occurred on Ozumba Mbadiwe Road on Lagos Island.

Men of from the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) and Fire Service were making efforts to put out the fire and toe the trucks out of the way to restore traffic flow as at the time of filing this report.
