Dating is not so easy anymore these days. Not like the previous generation of men didn't have their own difficultis in catching babes though.
Regardless of that, for guys in this day and age, it must sometime feel like we're all still just winging it and hoping for the best.
And then when you meet someone who even somehow interested, you still have the first date to get through - which could really be cool or just plainly tiring and end up terribly.

Thankfully, in a thread on Reddit, women have started sharing the things that men have done on a first date that have made them want to see them again.
1. Pay attention
In an age where conversations do not really begin on the first date but usually weeks or even months before it, it is important to be the date partner who remembers stuff that has been shared during the chats that preceded the date.
Women are impressed by this as it shows you have been paying real attention to them, rather than just perfunctorily ‘lol-ing’ and lmao-ing’.
As one of the Reddit users said, “it doesn't sound like a lot; listening really is bare minimum stuff, after all. But this guy made a point of proving that he'd been paying attention, and also that he understood her situation and respected her boundaries.”
And many times, it is this supposed simple things that make all the difference.

2. No mind games
Women want men who have outgrown the games people play after the first date. So instead of waiting for four days after the first date to call her or other ridiculous games men play, just go ahead and do what you feel.
“He didn't play any mind games and texted me that same night saying he had a great time," said another commenter in that Reddit thread. "It was refreshing for me," she said.
According to another woman; “he texted a little later to ask if I got home okay, and then said he’d love to see me again and proposed a date for the next weekend.
“Pitch perfect way to wrap up a date, and no stupid games."

3. Be a gentleman during the date
This is an old but golden rule. Be as sweet, courteous and polite as you can be during the date.
"He would ask me if it was okay to touch me, and if I liked it," said another commenter. "It was OK and I liked it very much." There's an old school way of thinking when it comes to romance that paints asking for consent as unsexy, but really, what could be more of a turn-on than somebody telling you how much they want to be intimate?
As this woman said: "Showing you care about your potential partner's pleasure is sexy."
3.Be a gentleman AFTER the date
Women also want you to extend the niceness to after the date. Keep the same energy for then, too.
"If arriving separately, texting to ask if I got home okay - shows you're still thinking of me," another woman advised.
