Members of the Agbekoya on Friday, met with the Aare Onakakanfo of Yorubaland, Iba Gani Abiodun Ige Adams, at his Omole Phase 2 residence, Ikeja, Lagos.
The group, led by the Coordinator, Hammed Olasunkanmi Raji, at the meeting expressed concern over the spate of insecurity in the country, saying the present government is treating the issue of the herdsmen with kid gloves.
While responding, Aare Adams, expressed appreciation to the group on the visit, explaining that he had played several roles on the issue of insecurity in the country.
"We need to understand the fact that the spate of insecurity in the country is alarming. There is need for us work together as a formidable group and form a better strategy to curb the activities of the herdsmen in the southwest"
Aare Adams, who had earlier played host to chief Olawale Taofeeq, representating the Egbe Isokan Omo Oduduwa, said the unity of all the socio-cultural groups in the country is very important to the growth and development of the race.
