Emir Of Lagos Emerges ? - Prince Adedipe Dauda Ewenla

By Solanke Ayomideji Taiwo

There was a mild tension in Lagos as Emir of Lagos emerges, Prince Adedipe Dauda Ewenla, has taken his facebook page to express disappointment in Akinlolu ( Oba Of Lagos)  for allowing such development while still siting on the throne of his forefathers.

According to Prince Adedipe Dauda Ewenla:

"If I say something now some brainwashed, useless, Bastard Yoruba political followers and Lazy youth will start saying rubbish to defend the defenseless, they can even frame me up with series of allegations, But I can't just keep quiet."

How can this happened and OBA AKIOLU ELEKO 1 will keep quiet without saying anything?

That is how he said Lagos is not Yoruba land some years back, Just because of politics or what? If Hausa/Fulani can't describe their leader as SERIKI HOUSA in Lagos again but Emir of Lagosdo you know the meaning of Emir? This is a shameful to Yoruba Leaders and Elders

This is Alhaji Mohammed Abubakar Bambado  the Emir of Lagos seated on his throne, with a hand crafted golden cow-head chair.

Apparently Lagos will soon be another Ilorin. If care is not taken. Can we do that in their land?

At the start of the 19th century Ilorin was a border town in the Northeast of the Oyo Empire, with a mainly Yoruba population but with many Hausa and Fulani immigrants. It was the headquarters of an Oyo General, Afonja, who rebelled against the empire and helped bring about its collapse with the assistance of the Fulani.

[1] The rebellion was powered by Nupe and Bornu Moslem slaves.

[2] Afonja had been assisted by Salih Janta, also called Shehu Alimi, a leader of the local Fulani. In 1824 Afonja was assassinated and Alimi's son Abdusalami became Emir.

[3] Ilorin became an emirate of the Sokoto Caliphate.
