The former house of representatives member Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu has urged Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members in Ogun state to embrace peace and unity to move the party to a greater height.
Adebutu made this statement on Tuesday at PDP Unification meeting held at Civic Center Iperu in Ijebu East local government area.
He said: ''I called all the people who are in PDP before that left because of one reason or the others to come back together and become one big family including Dr doyin Okupe and senator kasamu.
He noted that the party can not win election as a divided family, 'let's join hands together and become one so that PDP can become a ruling party in Ogun state.'
According to him, It is obvious that PDP in Ogun state is divided for some years now, during the just concluded 2019 election PDP was totally ruled of power even they can't win house of Assembly seat in Ogun.
According to reports, all the party leaders and new members from different groups attended the meeting.
Dignitaries present the Unification meeting include Dr Doyin Okupe, Hon Ladi Adebutu, Sikirulai Ogundele and other party leaders who joined different political parties during 2019 general elections.
According to Sikirulai Ogundele the Factional State PDP Chairman said similar meeting have been organized in all the three senatorial districts to reunite our people to have one house.
''We don't want a divided party in Ogun state again, we want to be under one umbrella that's how we can win next coming election.'' He explained
Ogun PDP Factional Chairman also received thousands new members that joined the party from Accord Party, ADC, Labour party, ADP, Omo Ilu group among others.
Ogundele implored party members across the state to join hands together and work tireless to build formidable structure for future elections.
