The rivalry between Nigerian artistes Davido and Wizkid has been on for a while. Many times both artistes have come out to say there is no beef between them, but then how true is that?
The rivalry between both artiste came on a whole different level when it was recently reported sometimes in May 2019 that Shoki Shitta got beaten up for publicly slamming Wizkid for not settling them when he came to Shitta, Surulere in Lagos state.
Shoki Shitta was said to have informed his crew members playing a Wizkid song to change it to Davido’s song. The street rep hailed Davido, as he claimed they got lots of money from Davido when Davido shot a video in Shitta with US rapper, Cassanova. He claimed that Davido was more Street Friendly than Wizkid and that wizkid is no longer a member of the hood.
New video surface on the internet showing that the street tout Shoki got more than he had expected when he was harassed and beaten by someone in the video called “Baruwa Eleniyan” and his boys who are all supporters of Wizkid.

The video showed Shoki Shitta rolling on the floor, crying and begging Wizkid to tell his boys to leave him alone. He went on to call Wizkid the boss and apologized for his earlier statements where he placed Davido above Wizkid
Wizkid reacting to the attack took to his Instastory to write;
“Starboy condone no violence! Peace, love and blessings. One Love.”
Reports have it that Baruwa Eleniyan was arrested on the Wednesdays night after the incident and police have retrieved some text messages between himself and Wizkid. The text revealed details on how Shoki was nabbed and being dealt with.
Davido who got the information about Shoki Shitta being beaten for disrespecting Wizkid told his manager Lati to give him N1m for his show of support and solidarity.
