The Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince (Dr.) Dapo Abiodun, MFR has inaugurated the Transport Unions Committee at the Governor's office in Oke Mosan Abeokuta.
The Governor in his speech congratulated all the committee members and charge them to discharge their duties with utmost commitment and sincerity.
He told them to see the opportunity as a call to serve humanity and add positive values to the Transport sector of the state.
The Governor urged the Chairman of the committee, Barrister Sunday Adeniyi, the Secretary, Engr. Tunji Akinosi and other members to ensure they coordinate the activities of the transport unions, review and make recommendations on the way forward to put sanity in the garrages and parks.
The committee were also urged to educate and create awareness on peace and safety as well as instituting disciplinary committee that will always correct the ills and all forms of indiscipline in the transport sector.
The Governor did not but let the committee members know that any act of sabotage would not be condoned.
In his response, the committee chairman thanked and appreciated the Governor for the opportunity he availed them.
He repeatedly registered that the entire committee would not betray the trust and confidence reposed in them and promised that the committee would come out with a better policy that will enhance the image of the Governor Abiodun led administration.
On a final note, he assured the Governor that they would discharge their duties excellently well as expected of them, as the template they would set would be emulated across the country.
