An aircraft belonging to Air Peace, on Saturday, overshot the runway and slided into the bush of the Port Harcourt international airport in Rivers state.
A passenger on board was quoted to have said that the incident occurred around 4pm when the plane was about to land at the airport, despite the heavy rainfall.
The plane, which left Abuja for Port Harcourt, was said to have come to a halt inside the bush, some 200 meters close to the runway.
According to the witness, all the passengers evacuated and driven to the arrival area. It is believed that no life was lost as the passengers were said to have left the airport at Omagwa to their various destinations without injury.
