KADUNA PROTEST

There was a mild drama at the Stadium Roundabout, Kaduna, when soldiers prevented residents of the southern part of Kaduna metropolis whose polling units are in various places at the city centre. The soldiers, who mounted a road block at the roundabout, had stopped people from driving to the city centre, saying that they had orders from above not to allow any movement. Displaying their PVCs, the stranded voters started chanting “Buhari Must Go” insisted that nobody will stop them from accessing their polling units.

FROM RIVERS:.. RIVERS GO BLOODY

Four persons, including two leaders of APC have died after they were shot at, in separate incidents, by suspected thugs in Andoni Local Government Area of Rivers State, PREMIUM TIMES has learnt.
The spokesperson for the police in Rivers State Omoni Nnamdi, confirmed the incidents to  following information shared by the APC.
“PDP thugs have shot to death an APC chieftain in Asarama, Andoni LGA, Chief Mowan Etete,” disclosed Senibo Finebone, APC’s spokesperson for Rivers State.

WIKE VS AMAECHI

Gov. Nyesom Wike has alleged that the unsolicited defence of the GOC, 6 Division of the Nigerian Army by Rotimi Amaechi may not be unconnected to his alleged ”amorous links to the wives of army officers.” Speaking on the attempt by Amaechi to make nonsense of the weighty assassination attempt against him, Wike said it is unfortunate that he made himself the spokesperson of the GOC. Wike who addressed a press conference in Port Harcourt ahead of Saturday’s election, accused his predecessor of having affairs with wives of army officers.

SARAKI HELD HOSTAGE

Some supporters of Senate President Bukola Saraki held him hostage for about 15 minutes on Saturday after he cast his vote. Mr Saraki voted at about 10:30 a.m. amidst praises from scores of his supporters. He voted at his PU 003 Agbaji ward of Ilorin West Local Government Area. After he voted at about 10:35 a.m., Mr Saraki was barred by his supporters from leaving his polling unit. They demanded money from him. He was later allowed to exit the polling unit at about 10:50 a.m.
