INEC DECLARES THAT APC CANNOT HAVE CANDIDATES DURING THE 2019 GENERAL ELECTIONS IN RIVERS STATE

The Chairman of the  Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) Professor Mahmood Yakubu has restated that the commission will stand by the rulings of the supreme court that barred the Rivers State chapter of All Progressives Congress from participating  from all  2019 general election in the state. 

Professor Yakubu who stated this at a press briefing  in Abuja, maintained that the supreme court is the highest court in Nigeria and end of all ligations.

   He further said that  once the supreme court makes pronouncements every institution or organization must obey the judgment of the supreme court.  

The INEC boss  said that the commission as law abiding institution must obey the judgment of the supreme court.
