Abeokuta - Ahead of February 23rd general election, Labour Party LP has formed a new alliance with forty other political parties in Ogun State to support the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari in the forthcoming poll.
The parties under the aegis of Coalition Of Political Parties In Ogun State (COPPIOS) For President Mohammed Buhari for second term announced when they met at the Labour Party secretariat in Abeokuta, the state's capital, that they would operate under the coalition to make sure President Mohammed Buhari is reelected.
The announcement followed the media statement by Comrade Abayomi Arabambi, spokesperson of the merging parties, in their bid to support President Muhammadu Buhari’s All Progressives Congress (APC).

Leaders of political parties in attendance included that of Grassroots Development Party Of Nigeria (GDPN) , Labour Party (LP), Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN), All Progressives Congress (APC), Social Democratic Party of Nigeria (SDP), National Conscience Party (NCP), Rebuild Nigeria People's Party (RNPP), Labour Party, and a host of other newly registered parties.
According to Comrade Abayomi Arabambi, the campaign for Buhari’s re-election had become necessary to all Nigerians irrespective of political, religious, or regional differences considering the good records of his administration in the country.
He described Buhari as a leader who had good mission to move the country forward.
He assured of total support for the reelection of President Mohammed Buhari come Saturday 23rd.
“We are working hand in hand with all stakeholders to ensure President Mohammed Buhari wins the presidential election against Atiku Abubakar,’’ he added.
He said that the aim of establishing the group was to ensure Buhari/Osibanjo re-election in the 2019 general election.
