Moses Adeoye, the Treasurer of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ekiti State, has been killed by suspected gunmen, at his residence.
The development came barely 48-hours after the new State Government, led by Governor Kayode Fayemi, took over power from ex-Governor, Ayodele Fayose.
It was gathered that Adeoye was murdered in Otun, Moba Local Government Area of the State.
A source stated that the gunmen did not take any of his valuables or properties.
Confirming the incident, Caleb Ikechukwu, the Ekiti State Police Public Relations Officer, said that an investigation has commenced on the matter
He said: “The State Police Headquarters is aware of it already, and we have started our investigation to make sure we apprehend all the perpetrators of this act.
“We commiserate with his family, and assure the people of Ekiti State, that the Police is on top of this matter.”
