In line with the stipulations of the National Working Committee, leadership and executive members of All Progressive Congress of Ogun State had agreed that direct primaries is the way to go.
The decision was championed by the state party chairman, Chief Derin Adebiyi at a crucial meeting held in the MITROS hall, Ibara Housing Estate, Abeokuta.
Adebiyi said “we can now move ahead to do direct primaries.
“I want to urge all of you that there should be no discrimination of any sort. We know ourselves.
“Bear in mind that all aspirants are our members”.
The chairman said that he succeeded in collecting the membership register as at 8:30pm on Wednesday and hope to get the card sooner.
In a situation where the card is not available in time, members were advised to use the slip used in 2011.
