The ex international footballer cum industrialist , Chief Segun Odegbami has declared his ambition today, to run for governorship position under Labour Party LP.

Odegbami, who described his vision as a vehicle to transcend the world after finding his desired party with maximum alignment with his spirit.

According to him: " I am still learning politics, I hope you all give me the opportunity to serve you and triumph, as the son of the soil, my village is Wasinmi, my mother is from Imo in Abeokuta. "

"We are not where we ought to be in Ogun State, we need the executive that will work through their people." said Odegbami

The declaration was attended by political juggernaut in the state and beyond, among the lovers of Chief Odegbami who makes it to the event was Chief Tunde Kelani of Mainframe "Opomulero" films Nigeria with his media crew, Honorable Sina Aroyehun and others.

Meanwhile, the chairman of Labour Party in Ogun State, Comrade Arabambi Abayomi according to his speech described the administration of Senator Ibikunle Amosun as ill-equipped, with lack of experience to challenge the transformation of Ogun state in terms of economy and creation of variable environment for realization of Ogun citizens.

"it is cleared that Government of Governor Amosun has failed for lack of clear ideology, principle and tactics to run Ogun state. Our major concern in Ogun state is that this class of enthrenched leaders will lead Ogun state into indescribable human misery, characterised by death, Hunger, poverty, illiteracy, backwardness, failure and perpetual manipulation as witnessed recently where heavy rainfall wrecked havoc with loss of lives, but rather than the government been proactive, the governor and his entire cabinets and council chairmen choose to abandon their primary constitutional duties by absconding from office and relocate to Ekiti state for a mere governorship election that has no economic benefits to Ogun State." Said Arabambi

Arabambi,  urged the members of Labour party to mobilize against Amosun come 2019 as his government is lacking so many integrity in many sectors like education, payment of workers gratuity, cooperative and salaries at appropriate time.
