Chief Mrs Kemi Nelson: A Transformer of Women Politics in APC Lagos and South West.

The outcome of the just concluded congress of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Lagos chapter goes a long way to show the transformation that has over the years rocked the party at the state level as positions hitherto unattractive particularly from the women wing is now the beautiful bride worth the woo.

The battle for the leadership of the women wing of the state’s chapter of the party saw the emergence of Mrs Jumoke Okoya-Thomas, a three term House of Representative member as the new state women leader to be assisted by a former Special Adviser to former Governor Raji Fashola. This fair content brings to the fore that indeed women politics is thriving in the state.

It is in a moment like this where praises seems to be pouring in on the conduct of the women wing in the state that one won’t be out of place to trace the sudden transformation of the polity to a party visionary who took charge when women politics was oblivion and brought it to the limelight.

You guessed right, records has it that the visionary leader is Chief Mrs Kemi Nelson (CMKN). An unrepentant advocate for women getting involved in politics both at the state and federal level. She has over the years proven to go beyond the rhetoric by walking her talk. She has with her exceptional leadership skills transformed women politics within the party by getting women involved and elevating the office to one of the most sought after in the party.

For better representation of women in the polity and party growth the need to replicate this outstanding feat at the zonal level and indeed national cannot be overstated. Little wonder she is currently the APC southwest zonal woman Leader. What better leader can the party ask for than this woman with the Midas touch and experience?

With over a decade of political experience, impeccable performance as a former commissioner for Establishments, Training and Job Creation in lagos state; the party can be rest assured that the task of making the south west women zone another haven of women politics is achievable with Chief Mrs Kemi Nelson.

It is time to neglect party sentiment, come together as true party loyalist and believers of democracy without gender limitation to support our S/W woman leader, the visionary CMKN.
