"I'm happy to announce that the Federal Government has so far paid 22.5 billion Naira to Staff of more than 260 MDAs to fulfill our promise to settle the backlog of promotion arrears—covering 2011 to 2016—owed Federal Civil Servants across the Federation.
The N22.5bn already paid is part of the N35bn released for that purpose. Another batch of 68 MDAs have undergone verification, and are now in line to receive their arrears, totaling N8.249bn.
President Buhari is fully committed to the welfare of all our civil servants."
