Rightfully so, Dr. Samson Odedina, the Provost of Federal College of Agriculture, Akure has been conferred the award of "Illustrious Personality of the Year" on Thursday, 17th November, 2017 by the Ogun State government
Likewise, Alhaji Musedeeq Ajasa, the Vice Chairman of Processed Woods Producers and Marketers Association of Nigeria (PROWPMAN), Ogun State. Musedeeq Ajasa was honoured with "Distinguish Personality of the Year" award. Either good or bad, our action or inaction is like a flame that will never be erased on the planet earth but will echo till eternity. A good deed is never lost; he who sows courtesy reaps friendship, and he who plants kindness gathers love.

Comrade Simileoluwa Likely who is the Director of Publicity II and Comrade Ijaduoye Olasunkanmi Adetoye, National Public Relations Officer Alhaji Musedeeq Ajasa has significantly bettered the plight of thousands who are gainfully employed as wood processors and marketers. Ogun state relishes significant economic growth and development due to the progress of the wood processing sector that serve as a major export commodity and source of livelihood. Musedeeq Ajasa has been instrumental to the success and education of many young people as he finances developmental and philanthropic projects all around the country. Due to the beehive of activities of PROWPMAN, Remo North local government, the locatlization of the wood processing industry is now enjoying boost in its economy.
In due commemoration of the 78th International Students' Day the state government celebrated notable personalities who have done exceptionally well and are doing the state proud.
Dr. Samson Odedina has brought unequalled development to the Federal College of Agriculture, Akure. The school now enjoys major infrastructural upgrade, developmental milestones through public private partnership, good industrial relationship with the staff of the school. Under Dr. Odedina's watch, FECA has started Computer Based Test (CBT) exams. Dr. Samson Odedina's tenure as provost has established stable academic timetable unhindered because of his unparalleled administrative and managerial acumen. He has successfully managed staff and students, ensuring that there are no strike actions or crisis in the institution. We know how difficult this could be.
These unprecedented and landmark achievements to mention a few are the reasons his due recognition is justified. We identify with his amiable person as NAPS enjoys a working partnership with the institution and his office.
On this note, we are delighted to congratulate the distinguished awardees once again and wish them greater achievements ahead.
Just like a goldfish doesn't have a hiding place, we urge members of the Nigerian society to take a cue from Dr. Samson Odedina and Alhaji Musedeeq Ajasa to make Nigeria great again and get duly honoured based on merit.
We implore the Federal government of Nigeria to reward such exceptional personalities by conferring national awards like Member Order of Niger and Officer of the Federal Republic. It is imperative for the awardees to remember that the reward for hard work is more work.
