*Kashamu Rescues Community in Darkness, Donates Transformer.*

By Wale Bakare

For Senator Buruji Kashamu, helping the downtrodden is his life long ambition. Politics asides, the Ijebu born Senator has thrived effortlessly where his predecessors have struggled.

The Senator representing Ogun East Senatorial District in the 8th Senate is a man of few words who believes in action without remembering to blow the proverbial trumpet synonymous with every political office holder.

Kashamu's calm demeanour and his mastery of Ogun State politics has left many observers in awe of the man desirous to take the people of Ijebu and indeed the gateway state to an enviable status.

Penultimate weekend, the good people of Mamu Community of Ijebu North were thrown into jubilant mood as their dearest Senator fulfilled his promise of donating a 500KVA generator after years of darkness.

In the past, successive governments have paid lip services as regards the welfare of the Mamu Community, their faith deposed in the leadership of Senator Buruji Kashamu through the Omo-ilu foundation has paid off eventually.

Setting a new record where non exists previously; Kashamu has demonstrated in good faith to noisy politicians how to impact meaningfully on the community without fanfare & the characteristic Aso-ebi deployed by other politicians to launch a mediocre project with media presence to score cheap political points.

Recall that earlier this year, #SenatorBurujiKashamu had donated and installed a 500KVA transformer to the good people of Iperu-Ilisan followed by the donation of a police station in Oru-Ijebu to enhance security and improve safety of lives.

In this era of cash crunch where politicians are groaning over the irregular payments of their constituency allowances to execute projects in their respective communities, the people's Senator has defied all odds albeit quietly to attract projects of immediate priority to better the lives of his people.

Shortly after the donation of the transformer to Mamu Community, the Baale, Chief Kamoru Bakare on behalf of the community expressed his appreciation to Prince Buruji Kashamu noting that the community has been plunged into darkness for ages thus hindering their economic development.

Similar stories of gratitude to the kind philanthropic gestures of Senator Kashamu abounds in the 9 local government comprising ijebu East Senatorial district, most grossly undocumented.
