The Ijebu-ode region of Ogun State today, Friday, 20th of October, 2017 was thrown into a joyous mood as Otunba Rotimi Paseda , in conjunction with the Paseda Women Forum (PWF), rolled out the second phase of the 10million Naira free empowerment to petty traders.
However, the beneficiaries could not hold their joy as they danced with happiness and shed tears of joy, as they were given the funds.
It was also revealed that Otunba Rotimi Paseda, in his humility and magnanimity, single-handedly went around Ijebu to distribute forms to the women.
While speaking with one of them who happened to be a widow, she said she was just outside doing her daily business when suddenly, Otunba Rotimi Paseda parked his car beside her and gave her a letter, which contained details of how to get the loan. In tears, she made it known that her husband died two years ago and she had been the only one struggling since he died, but with this loan, her business will grow very well and things will become easier for her.
Similarly, several beneficiaries attested to the fact that the same thing was done to them, to their greatest shock.
In attendance were the wife of Otunba Rotimi Paseda, Chief (Mrs) Yeye Oritsejamene Paseda, the Director of PLF, Engr Folarin and the Olomu of Omu, who was ably represented by his Olori.
According to the President of Paseda Women Forum, Mrs Yemi Layeni, she explained that the application form for the ongoing free loan is free of charge and the loan collected will be returned with no interest.
It would be recalled that the first phase of the N10million
free loan was done in Abeokuta few weeks ago at the PLF Secretariat,
Onikolobo.
