Osun 2018: Rotimi Makinde Dialogues With The Grassroots, Reassures Time-to-Time Visitations.

The ex lawmaker representing Ife constituency at the National Assembly, House of Representatives, Honourable Rotimi Makinde in his usual ways has visited his constituency to know their well being and area of needs.

According to the ex lawmaker:

"Presently, I stay more with my people who resides in ife, I have been trying my possible best to mingle more with my people at the grassroots.
Now, I feel more of their pains on a daily basis. I can see hungers and angers written on their faces."

"I have thoroughly studies their needs, listening more to them through my research, I have consulted many and document their area of needs and their expected dividends.
Meanwhile, In the time past we have misplaced our priorities and failed them by ignoring their calls and almost dashed out their hopes. I now begin to discover where we went wrong and where we can honestly see the urgent need to ensure we restore their lost hope, And rekindle their desires in other not to depart them."

"Obviously, Where they needed water, we gave them roads,where they needed light, we gave them schools. All these happened as a result of failure in consulting the grassroots and noting their respective needs.

However, Budget were being made without their consultation and implementation were at our own discretion. Now at my urgent interval, I have deliberately realign myself, out myself in their position.*_The first step in solving any problem is to recognise there is one*_, I now know better what my people need and I am determined to continue to work with them for the benefit of all."

"Conclusively,I have come to the know that even in my own interests of posterity and in the overall interest of fulfilling my call to service, I have chosen to come down to their level and reconnect with my people. My consultation begins in the earnest and it's not limited to just my constituency but state wide as ife is not a stand alone community." Makinde said.
