A former member of the Federal House of Representatives, Honourable Rotimi Makinde has denied defecting to the Peoples Democratic Party from the ruling All Progressives Congress as being circulated in the media lately.
The Ife born politician told our correspondent on Monday that he was shocked when he was informed that such news is being aired about him.
The former lawmaker who is a close ally of the Osun State governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola said, 'today and without sounding immodest I am the Tinubu or Aregbesola of Ife, I am the face of APC as far as Ife is concerned at least in Ife Federal Constituency.
No one has scored votes like me in that vicinity,no one has been so attacked,maligned and suffered for the party as much as I did. No reason to abandon my mentor at this crucial stage of our politicking.
The satanic news is being peddled by those I think wanted to slug it out with me as I will continue to offer my self for the defence and service of my people in Ile Ife. I would simply advice them to wait for a better time as I am presently busy and staying much with my people to know their needs.'
