MY PERSONAL CONVICTION ON GOV AREGBESOLA:- By Rotimi Makinde

*_God himself said in the Holy Bible and Qur'an ....This is my beloved son with whom am well pleased._*

The fact still remains that I have no intent to upset or let anyone down with my artless submission on Aregbesola after getting more irksome on exaggeration about his personality.

Let me begin this piece by registering my compunctious apologies to anyone who might feel psyched out. I have to be impetuous to say this and to remind us once again that I am not in any way bootlicking or reciprocating any love to him as an individual but rather it is based on my personal conviction that this man Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola is an uncommon personality that can never be appreciated today but certainly there would be a place for him in tomorrow's history. Late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, the great legend no doubt perform credibly well but this is not to say we have not seen somebody who worked closely to his achievements but you dare not say so about any living achiever or compared him to any living politician unless you are prepared for public crucifixion. whatever you thought of him,Papa Awolowo truly had leadership qualities, mettle to conviction.

Without mincing words, we have some perilously personalities who has broken records to make names, though they may be few but certainly they includes Aregbesola on educational facilities and infrastructure, Donald Duke on tourism,Professor Attahiru Jega on election matters, Mrs Allison Diezani on embezzlement, Gen Sani Abacha on brutality,Dr Dele Momodu in Journalism,Fayose on stomach infrastructure,Professor Wole Soyinka on Vocabulary and literature,Gov Ambode on Transformation, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu on politicking and building lieutenants, Buhari on anti corruption crusade etc.

Finally, they consider Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola to be a swindler , a deluder , a symbol of bad character in professional politics with no evidence to back up their claims.

In all obviousness, many hate him for his unusual appearance ,tight schedule, religion and his effrontery in confrontation so many unfair federal government policies especially under the government of President Goodluck Eberle Jonathan. It is no news that his tactical approach to issues and agility in any resolution matters easily gives him outstanding qualification not to be described as a header.

Few people dislike Adesoji Aregbesola for being high-principled , and nongregarious, but can we hate him for not attending social function and not flirting with woman or attending night clubhouse as many of us does or for not responding to our daily financial needs like many other politicians eventually earmark as father Christmas?

Like him or dislike him, the truth still remains that he is a game changer which many of his caliber can never be appreciated when in power but certainly they would be celebrated after their tenure.
