Being a joint press briefing of National association of ogun state students(NAOSS NATIONAL) and National association of nigerian students(NANS).
NIGERIA: IN A PEAK OF DEMOCRACY.
Without mincing words in the art of rhetoric's,we are highly humbled and elated seeing beautiful and handsome faces who are all committed to the development of our dear country.
Distinguished citizen of ogun state,you will agree with us that we live in a world of statistics that deals with facts and figure. About 70% of ogun State population are youths will like to crave for indulgence,which the past,present and future of Ogun State depends on us all.
The leadership of NAOSS and NANS,jointly taught it expedient to make our positions known,as the political calculations risen daily. students in ogun state,had unanimously consented to have proper integration of past student leaders should be seen as pillars in good government and governance.
It is on this note that we demand 30% incorporation of ex-student leaders from any gubernatorial aspirants/party that wished to enjoy massive support of Ogun State Students in 2015 general elections.
We call on political parties in the state to preapre for our debate and also make available a copy of the party's detailed manifesto.
Nigerian Students in Ogun State, are strongly determined to make the change come 2015.we are considering the personality and profile of the aspirants above the political party they belong to.
OUR POSITION
*There should be an increament in the bursary of Ogun State Students
*Ogun State government should improve the standard of learning in our schools,primary to tertiary level.
*We want an effective transportation on our campuses.
*There should be effective power supply in students residential areas.
*Empowerment and employment of graduates.
*No to student intimidation from any quaters.
*No increment in school fees.
We appreciate all media parastatals in the state who deem it fit to honour our invitation despite their busy schedule.
We equally appreciate all well-maening and intellectual students of ogun state for their endurance and comportment in the lasting and titanic struggle.
